Claeys Launches Meetup for Supporters to Create Meetings

Salina, Kans. -- J.R. Claeys, candidate for Kansas Secretary of State, launched a new campaign tool with Meetup.com for the 2010 election.
The J.R. Claeys for Kansas Secretary of State Meetup is a tool that allows supporters to create meetings online that take place in person. Supporters set the times and locations of the events. Claeys also has a tool online to invite him to speak at the events created by supporters.

"I've used Meetup in the past for cause-related nonprofits with great success," said Claeys. "The system offers supporters a way to gather locally to discuss the campaign and politics in general. I look forward to being invited to supporter's events."

J.R. Claeys is a fifth-generation Kansan born and raised in Salina, Kans. He is seeking the Republican nomination for Kansas Secretary of State in the primary election on August 3, 2010.
