Salina, Kans. -- Republican candidate for Kansas Secretary of State, J.R. Claeys, shared his plans to 'Clean up Kansas' by securing the vote and cutting red tape to help create good-paying Kansas jobs with hundreds of hard-working Kansans during a state-wide tour. During the last month, Claeys traveled to more than 15 counties throughout Kansas, beginning with his hometown of Salina and wrapping up in the Capital City, Topeka.

Along the way, Claeys visited Salina, Great Bend, Dodge City, Garden City, Liberal, Hays, Russell, Colby, Goodland, Overland Park, Shawnee, Wichita, Newton, Hutchinson and Topeka.

"I can't tell you how exciting it was to meet with literally hundreds of people over the last month -- from farmers to bankers and construction workers to business executives -- everyone has a unique opinion on what needs to be done to help get the Kansas Economy back on track," said Claeys. "That said, no matter where I visit, one thing stays the same: everyone agrees that we need to send some fresh faces to Topeka that are focused, first and foremost, on creating good-paying Kansas jobs and securing our vote."

Claeys' Statewide tour received coverage in the Hutchinson News, who discussed Claeys' passion for the office of Secretary of State:

"Claeys, a 31-year-old Salina Republican, is running in the August 2010 GOP primary race for secretary of state..."My talents match this office," said Claeys, citing his work with businesses and his role as an election observer in El Salvador's presidential election." Over the next few months, Claeys will continue to travel throughout the state on his Campaign to 'Clean up Kansas.'
