FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Scott Paradise (913) 485-9266 Hi-Res Photo: Color | B&W Salina, Kans. -- J.R. Claeys, Republican Candidate for Kansas Secretary of State, issued the following statement regarding current Secretary of State Ron Thornburgh's recently-announced online voter registration system: "During the 2010 Elections, voters across the State will make critical decisions on several issues ranging from growing the Kansas economy and creating good-paying Kansas jobs to securing our most important constitutional liberty -- the right to vote. It's important that every Kansan have their voice heard in the upcoming elections, and this new registration program -- which will require only a computer, internet connection and a valid driver's license -- will encourage more Kansans to become involved in the electoral process. Kansas' next Secretary of State must do everything possible to grow the Kansas economy and secure our vote, and increasing civic participation is a great first step in this process."
Claeys has released a detailed plan to prevent voter fraud in Kansas called "Securing Our Vote." The plan is available online at www.JoinJR.com. PHOTO: Official Campaign Photo (Hi-Res) ABOUT J.R.
