Cutting Red Tape For Small Business
Beyond being a filing center for registration documents, Kansas needs a Secretary of State who will be an advocate for business growth and an ambassador to the world for Kansas' economy. We need a Secretary of State who will bring jobs to our state and sell Kansas' to the world. Small businesses are the backbone of economic growth in our state. J.R. understands the more small businesses we have, the more jobs are created for Kansans. Adding additional burdens on these job creators only serves to slow economic growth and move jobs out-of-state and even out of the U.S. J.R. believes all business filings, including tax and fee payments should be easily accessible via the internet. Forms should be simple, and in plain english. No business owner should be in a position to waste valuable time filing forms and paperwork when they should be running their business and creating jobs. For 10 years, J.R. has been working with national organizations, state and local chambers and the Small Business Administration Office of Advocacy to pass meaningful paperwork reduction legislation. Several reforms have led to more access via the internet and a reduction in the time taken to complete government paperwork. There is much left to be done to make paperwork less of a burden on small businesses. www.JoinJR.com Paid for by J.R. for Kansas, Inc., Mary Kay Hendrickson, Treasurer
