Gov. Bobby Jindal (La.) Event in Leawood
Tuesday, March 31st, 2009

By J.R. Claeys

While in Leawood today I dropped in on an event being held for Gov. Bobby Jindal of Louisiana. Gov. Jindal told us that business expansion in his state has skyrocketed since the corruption that Louisiana is infamous for came to an end in his administration.

A close parallel can be drawn between corruption and business growth and the idea that fraud in our elections decreases voter turnout. If the system is rigged, the likelihood anyone will want to participate drops. Businesses want nothing to do with a corrupt state and voters want nothing to do with an election rife with fraud.

I firmly believe we must be on the offense against fraud to keep our elections free and fair.
